One of the most un-professional things IMO for nannies to do is post photos of their charges on social media. I know there is going to be I have permission the Facebook group is secure but this does not make it OK and puts the nanny industry in an un-professional light. Dang, I even saw last years INA Nanny of the year post a video of her and her charges bragging how she won. INA and the APNA always say they are here to UP the standards, sorry I am not convinced. Shame especially on the INA for allowing someone representing the profession act in such a way.

Just don't do it. |
| I do it all the time. I have a high paying NF and no one cares. For another perspective, if your NF is so uptight about posting photos it might be wise to look for a new job with a better employer. |
We're great employers, yet we put in our contract with our nanny that there is to be no picture or video taking. |
| Anyone who posts on Facebook is crazy. |
|
I have one FB account and the only friend I have in it is my MB. I post pictures and video of her baby there. She like it and she will save any pictures that she like into her computer or tag the picture to her FB account.
Once a month I will delete the pictures. I do it because I cannot send video via text message. The file is too large! and I need to clear up my phone space. |
| You realize photos uploaded to facebook never disappear, right? They're still available on FB servers if hackers should access them. |
| If you let your chage go out in public and be seen by people then I don't understand this logic. I don't post pics of my charges because I don't like to. But I do post pics of my friends kids, no one cares and if they did care they wouldn't be my friend anymore. It's a picture, it won't bite |

Most high-profile (high paying) families will not allow the nanny (or anyone) to post or publish pictures of their children.
I, as a nanny, never have and never would. It is not my place. |
|
Perhaps the nanny mentioned actually had the parent's permission first.
That being said, it is just inconsiderate and rude to post another child's photo online. |
p Some parents is ok with this, some not,you have to have permition to put pictures on the website.please Spanish and others ladies,Discovery more vocabulary to use ,everything for is like that "You are Crazy!" |
When did the children give you permission to do this? People seem to forget children are your charges and a professional protects them at all costs. The internet is not safe and anyone can hack and find out info even from just a picture. |
Spoken like someone whose family and friends are all local. Shut up. |
