Any 2 of the 3 would work. Since my son is non-verbal, patience is very important but at the same time if the candidate has knowledge and/or experience I believe it will be beneficial for both parties. I've had au pairs and private nannies that have been patient and understanding, but no experience to any sign language or any other type of training on how to deal with a non verbal child. But, I also a lot depends on the individual's personality and of my son likes her.
