And a SAHM was blasted for telling the mother of another child, who was playing with her kid, that her kid had snot coming out of his nose and needed a tissue.
As a nanny, I never wipe a strange kid's nose and wouldn't let a kid whose nose was running play with my charge. Wondering what other nannies would do. Would you wipe another kid's nose? |
| Nope. I am paid to care for my charge and that is what I do. I would alert the parent or nanny of the snotty kid or pick up my charge and play somewhere else. |

I'm a Nanny.
I have wiped "strange kid's" noses and have told parents and other nannies about their children's mucus eruptions. I've never been corrected, or yelled at. Public health is a serious matter. |
| The PP who flamed OP in that thread is a troll. I would no more let some weirdo kid that I have never seen before crawl into my lap or wipe some other kid's nose! Nor would I ever want my DD's nanny to do it. |
| I don't even wipe my own charges noses after they're 3, they can do it themselves then go wash their hands. I need to stay healthy and clean myself so I certainly won't be cleaning others noses at the park or during play dates |

SAHMs are weird. They act like they are sacrificing to stay home with their own children and then ignore the kid. The kid goes looking for affection from total strangers. And the mother probably thinks she is doing "free range parenting" in letting her kid walk around with a huge and disgusting snot stream coming out of his nose.
As a nanny - no, I do not "nuzzle" with strange kids and I don't wipe anyone else's nose but my charges. I also make sure that my charge doesn't nuzzle total strangers or have snot pouring out of his nose! |

Some other persons kid? No, I wouldn't wipe some random child's nose.
A nannyfriends charges, yes I would. |
same here. get the snot outta there. |
