Are the nanny search forums good for PT/ mother's helpers search or better resource elsewhere? RSS feed

Hi- just checking to see if anyone has had luck posting on these forums for part time (say maybe 15-20 hours a week) help with childcare- might be mother's helper but not looking for a HS kid, it would be during the day (college student is fine though, as of course would be women who do childcare of any adult age).

I see mostly postings for full time. I just think with c-section, no family, DH with a demanding job and me starting a job search at about 4-5 months post-partum (leaving a contract position just before birth of DS 2) it might be good to get some help with my insanely energetic toddler while trying to care for a newborn. We can't just leave him in his daycare unfortunately since I no longer commute to that area for work.

So much change at once!

Are there other resources than DCUM and Care.com that I might be missing for this part time search?

Your neighborhood listserve is really the best place, also your nearest college. Be sure to mention your hourly pay range.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Even though I mentioned college students in my post I hadn't even actually thought about that before and completely forgot that Mason has a lot of local students/ commuters (I recently moved close to campus from Arlington). Thanks!
