Hi all,
I am looking at a live-in position. One in particular has a relief weekend nanny with expectations of me being there M-F full time. I'm not one who needs a ton of time off, my family is scattered around so holidays I usually stick around town, but I'm curious before I speak to them how time off is typically handled in a live in situation. A few days here or there during days that I am normally working? Thoughts? |
| 2 weeks paid vacation is typical along with most major holidays. Also 2-5 sick days per year |
| I'm an employer and I would still expect to give a live-in nanny 2 weeks paid vacation. |
| Depending on where you live OT may apply after 40 hours/week. Otherwise, you are paid straight time for all hours. Do not let them get away with paying you a "salary. " A live in is still an hourly employee. |
