Would a nanny be interested in this position?

I'm curious if this would seem like a decent position or not to a nanny. Position would be full-time, 45 hours per week. Two kids, aged 1 & 3. Kids would attend a preschool/mother's day out program twice a week for 2 hours to get some socialization with other kids. During those 4 hours per week, we'd ask the nanny to grocery shop, meal prep, or do some light housework (like fold kids' laundry or vacuum the living room). We have actual house cleaners come to do deeper cleaning.

Do you think nannies would be interested in that sort of mix of duties? Thanks for your thoughts.

I agree with previous posters, but my only "concern/question": will the nanny get a break or be expected to keep busy all 45 hours with no break? Especially if the kids come home from their morning program and don't nap that day? Otherwise, looks like common nanny expectations when the kids attend some sort preschool program.

Yes, you need to describe the position as a nanny/house manager, and lay out nanny's anticipated duties in the contract.

IMO, it would depend on a) hourly and weekly pay, b) whether you will guarantee hours, c) benefits, d) whether you are willing to list the housekeeping duties that are possible (and understand that unless it is the same things every time, there will always be something that she doesn't have time to do), e) whether you are paying on the books to someone who is legal to work, and f) whether you require the nanny to have a car to transport the kids.

As long as the pay was reasonable, I don't see why you would have any problem securing candidates.

I wouldn't do anything that was not directly child related but the break would be a great time to make homemade food for my charges and get grocery shopping done.

Keep in mind that she won't have 4 solid extra hours. It depends on how far the school is because a lot if time can get eaten up by returning to house and going back to pick up kids.

You realize many nannies watch older kids who are much more active, require much more attention and energy, and obviously don't nap or ever stop moving and those nannies make due.

My nanny does all this except grocery shop and the kids dont go to a preschool program.
