There are classes this Saturday at The Breastfeeding Center. If you haven't taken one, this is a must to keep your kids safe!

I have three children, all grown, and never took this class. Never had a problem and don't know anyone who ever had a problem.

I take a similar class every year. My training once prevented a child from getting permanent burn scars. I was the only one there who quickly knew what to do.

That's nice. I've administered the Heimlich Maneuver to 2 children and CPR to another.
Just because you didn't need it doesn't mean someone else won't.
What a silly thing to say.

I checked out the link in the title and it appears to just be a link to several different kinds of training, online and off. I'd be careful, OP, about such a site. Most parents who require CPR and first aid training are looking for AHA or ARC certification, so be sure any class you choose to attend is a reputable one.

Old people say the same type of thing about raising their kids without bicycle helmets and car seats. So tiresome.

You got lucky, PP. Don't push your luck. At least take a CPR course to potentially save your spouse or friend after a heart attack (#1 killer of people your age). My grandmother saved my grandfather's life with CPR.
