Nanny /Family Assistant - Chevy Chase, MD
Posted by on 6/11/2015 Start date: ASAP 17 miles away (Chevy Chase, MD) $45.00 per hour 3 children (Preschool, Elementary) An active family in Chevy Chase, MD is looking for the best of the best in childcare! This individual must be college educated and have a minimum of five years of experience. The family, with children ages 9, 7 and 5, needs an organized and energetic caregiver to assist with driving, meal preparation, weekend activities, play dates, and homework help (especially math). The ideal candidate will have a camp counselor personality and enjoy working as a team with another Nanny, hands-on parents, and other household staff. A valid passport, with the ability travel, is required; this is an opportunity to see the world. This is a full time position. General schedule is three week days from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and weekends. Compensation of $45/hour, plus benefits. Local area candidates preferred. Only qualified applicants will be contacted. And then I saw this. I know I've seen this poster do other positions, I think she's with one of the agencies locally. Either way, it restores my faith that there are wonderful positions available. |

And I thought paying $5.00/Hour was a slave wage....??!! Who in their right mind(s) would pay their nanny only $1.00/Hour for caring for their most precious/prized possession, their lovely child.....????
I am flabbergasted by these ads. And even more so that Sittercity would even allow someone to post a dollar per hour job on it!! I truly feel for all the innocent children involved here. Their OWN parents are jeopardizing their safety & welfare by offering such low salaries.

Send the link where this is posted. I want to see the actual posting. There are way too many bogus posts made by nannies. Lots of people have subscription to sittercity and care so that is not an issue. $45 an hour is $90k a year. Plus benefits makes this a six figure job. I somehow doubt someone is looking to pay a nanny $100k in the dc area. Why do it when you can get 2 to 3 top of the line nannies (with college education, 5+ years experience, passport, etc etc) for 120 hour coverage during the week? Wealthy people got that way by being smart, not over paying a ridiculous amount. |
I have a local nanny friend who earns more than that. |
Err....good job not reading the post. It's 3pm-8pm 3 days per week, plus some weekend hours. Not necessarily a 40 hour work week. |
