If a nanny's profile says they haven't logged in a few months, does that meant they are probably no longer looking?
Anything else I should know? Thanks!

Post a profile and see who responds. If you post it during the day, the nannies that respond during the day shouldn't be working, and you can use that to weed some out (if they are applying to jobs while they're supposed to be finishing a position with another family you don't want them). Most nannies make sure to log in at least once a day if they are looking.

If a nanny hasn't logged in to her account for a few months, it is highly likely that seeking a position is not high on her priority list. Or she may have a job, but forgot to log in to her account to deactivate it or she may have forgotten her password and just let it go.

I would recommend you contacting nannies who log in on a daily basis. I always do this when I actively seek a job. Also, it doesn't matter the time of day you receive a response from someone. That is all relative.

I also recommend looking at nannies with profile pictures as well as those that include a clear background check (though some on here have commented that the background checks on these sites are not very good.)

Don't discount them if there isn't a background check on the site. I have my background check scanned onto my thumb drive, and I either email it with my resume and reference list or I bring it with everything to an interview.

I wrote the PP about recommending a nanny w/a clear background check in place.

The other PP brought up a good point too.
