At my bosses house there are 3 nannies and one baby nurse taking shifts working 24/7. There is the main daily nanny, the overnight nanny, and the weekend nanny.
The 3 nannies share the very small nanny bedroom and bathroom. The baby nurse uses the shower in the nanny bathroom (sleeps in the baby room). None of the nannies reside in this house, they all have their own residences elsewhere when not on duty. The nanny room is not a private area. Bosses and guests can enter at anytime, but usually don't. The nanny room is next to the 5 year old bedroom on the main floor. There are two full time house-keepers working in this house M-F. Who should be responsible for keeping the nanny "office" clean? Again there are 4 people who use this small bathroom, and 2-3 who sleep there every week. They work there, and don't live there. They only use that space while on duty. It is not their private space. Nannies and baby nurse never had housekeeping duties included in their job responsibilities. Bosses expect whole house to be clean at all times. The house is relatively small, 3000 SF. |
| Each person should clean before they leave. Housekeepers should vacuum/dust once or twice a week. If you sleep over, you change the sheets for the next person who is going to sleep over. |
I feel really bad for your charges. I will never understand having children and never seeing or raising them ( unless a medical illness does not allow). It's extremely said

Many more more families operate like this than you hear about.
The housekeepers should be cleaning your space every day. Why aren't they? |
| Each of you cleans up after yourself. If employer wwants it spotless clean at all times the she needs to hire a 24 he. V leaning crea. She sounds nuts. |
That should be 24 he. cleaning crew. |
| That's a really small house for all those people to be in daily |
|
Poor child.
That said - I would say it is the job of the house cleaners to clean. |
| nannies keep it tidy, housekeepers clean it |
| Nannies need to keep things tidy while on duty, but housekeepers should clean. That's how we did it when I was in a similar position with 4 nannies. We had 2 rooms, but there were 2 people on duty at all times. |
| While I suggest that each person clean up after herself, both in the bedroom and the bathroom, the weekly vacuuming/dusting of the bedroom as well as the scouring of the bathroom should be the responsibility of the housecleaners. |

3000 sq. ft. house with two housekeepers? What are they doing all day? Is one actually a cook or maid or something? There can't be that much to clean!
Daytime nanny doesn't need a "bedroom," so it's really the night time and weekend nanny who need to work this out with the bosses. |
| OP Here- The daily nanny has to only use the bathroom in the nanny room. She uses it for an occasional shower when she has to get ready for an event she has to attend with her evening family. She keeps a change of clean clothes there. The daily nanny also uses it as an office space to keep the children's calendars, set up appointments, fold children's laundry. It is also used to store some of the excess children's items and clothes. |
| OP Here again- to clarify, all the nannies are only allowed to use the bathroom (toilet) in the nanny room, and not the others in house. |

do we know this family??
This sounds crazy |
