They locked the thread under off topic so I hope we an continue it here.

Since I have a pro choice sticker on my car, the nanny won't drive my kids in the car.

Look. You said your kids love her. And you love your bumper sticker. You choose your priority. Done.

There were some very good points made in the original posts and I would like to hear more. sorry, I do not make snap decisions and take things lightly. You said your piece, feel free to ignore this thread.

You're a piece of work, lady. Let the poor AP go to rematch so she can have a crack at a good experience here.

Did not read other thread but can't she cover with a magnet when she drives the car?
Anonymous
That would not be the au pair for me.

You still haven't found the au pair thread OP. Go to the forum index here and look down 3 lines or so and you'll see the au pair specific forum.

That's odd.

The thing about abortion is people in general feel very passionate about it. And they usually are either on one side or the other. No in-betweens.

Personally, I think it is tacky to have a bumper sticker on your car stating your own political + personal beliefs. It just is.

However, it is YOUR car and you have every right to do what you want to it.

If your au pair is so against abortion that she won't even use your car, then the answer is simple.

Get a new one.

Good luck.

A new au pair...NOT a new car.

OP sounds really annoying. "I believe so much in abortion that I will fight to have a bumper sticker on my car even if it causes a lot of other stress and issues in my life."
Anonymous
Wow, you sound really dogmatic OP. Is this the only issue you're having a hard time with as a host parent?

Go into rematch. There's no point in debating the appropriateness of an abortion sticker on your car. Just know that most APs are coming from more conservative cultures - you need to vet for candidates who share your political leanings and who are happy to discuss such controversial issues with strangers. I don't doubt that you can find some one who agrees with you on abortion, but I think you'll have a harder time finding some one who's happy to have that plastered on the car they're driving all day.

Meanwhile, this post is most likely fake.
