Or that her Mother was so good with DD when I'd read the log and find out that the grandmother let the baby scream and cry for over an hour at nap time (something neither I nor my employers ever do).

I know there is nothing I can or even should do about this. MB is insecure and so wants to please her parents. It isn't just me either as she gives no credit whatsoever to her own husband for anything my charge has learned.

I get it. I have a friend who does this in regard to her parents as well - she is always trying to win their favor. Sad for the mother and irritating for everyone else.

When your charge is older, she can tell her mother exactly what she thinks of her grandparents and offer credit where credit is due. Until then, you and DB have to grin and bear it.

Really sucks for you, my old NF before I moved here was always praising me for things their child showed them he knew. They knew how much I was teaching him and they always made me feel appreciated.
