I was thinking tonight when nanny left - watching her say good-bye to DS - that she has always wanted and done what is best for him. Even though it isn't always easy or enjoyable for her.
I do trust her and appreciate her devotion to him. I just feel very grateful and happy tonight. DS is thriving and a very happy little guy. |

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing that.
You might be my MB. May lots of nannies be thinking the same thing tonight. Hopefully. |
| You have a great nanny, OP. Cherish her and treat her well. |
|
What you described is how it should work. A devoted and excellent nanny, a happy and thriving child, a grateful and appreciative parent.
Good for you, OP, for realizing how good your situation is. |
|
This is the best DCUM thread of the day.
Thank you, OP. |
|
Op, your nanny is lucky to have someone who appreciates you, and I'm sure she feels the same about you.
I'll piggyback your thread and say I think my MB always does the best for her kids and wants what is best for them. She works long hours and it isn't easy, but she makes the best of it and her kids are happy and thriving and they are a joy to take care of and I enjoy working for her. |
| Thanks for posting! It is great to see a nice thread every once in a while. |
+1 You have a great nanny and you are a great MB. |
|
Thank you collectively from all of us nannies.
Your posting shows that there are some of us who are worth our weight in gold. |
| Too bad you don't pay her what she's worth. |
Did OP tell us what she's paying? No. No reason to get nasty here. OP is a gem. |
| What you wrote, OP - that is everything. Having a nanny who truly wants and acts on what is in the best interest of your child is EVERYTHING. |
| In my experience, OP, your nanny is one-in-a-million. |
