how much more to pay for preschooler after school on top of nanny share rate RSS feed

we're going to pay $20/hour for two infants. The nanny will also pick up my almost 5 year old daughter at 3 pm and keep her until 5:30. How much extra should I pay for the time that she is taking care of my daughter in addition to the two infants? I was thinking maybe $10 an hour extra? or could it be a little less like $8?

More like $5 at the most, plus mileage.

Wow. I was thinking $2-3. People offer that for an infant.

I would not go lower than $8. $20 for two infants is a bargain. And 2.5 hours and the responsibility to pack up both infants and get to your five-year-old's school is a major hassle.

As a mother of twins, I agree.

2.5 hours, $25 seems reasonable to me, especially if nanny is doing pick-up of the preschooler.

How will days when there is no school be handled? Will nanny get paid to care for preschooler, or will there be other arrangements made?

thanks, that's a good point about days when there is no school. We would pay the higher rate

At the most. $3/hr more is likely good enough, but you can go as high as high $5 if you really like her.
