Ad heading specifies they're looking for a babysitter who is "not abusive." RSS feed

I was looking at job postings, and there was actually an ad that requested a "not abusive" babysitter.

I just stared at the ad for a while, wondering:

What kind of parent thinks, "THAT is the perfect wording of my ad. Makes me look witless, AND insults potential applicants. Nailed it!"

and,

How desperate for a job would I have to be before I responded to an ad like this?

LOL...aren't we all.

Probably the type of parent who was either abused by a babysitter themselves as a child, or hired a babysitter who they came to find out abused their child.

Yes, but now many abusive people are going to see that as and think, "Oh well, I guess I can't apply."

So shameful that our standards have dropped so low. Almost any obedient warm body should suffice.

I agree.

Perhaps the babysitter they had prior was abusive so hence the writing of this current ad.

Regardless it is quite strange.

Where was this at? I.e., Care.com, Sittercity.com or Craigslist?
