At Barnes and Noble she was dozing off on the chair while my child and yours played.
The kids were playing well together but the place was crowded. He walked from the train table to the story time circle and back a few times then nanny woke up and started browsing on her phone. Do you want me to contact you about it? We're acquaintances, not friends and we've had opposing points of view in a few discussions in our local list serve. ***** If it were you would you say something? Would you want to know? | No one cares. A nanny is not there to babysit you kid 24/7. He was safe and sound at Barnes and Noble, they got home safe and sound too. Why stir up trouble? |

| OP - there are mostly nannies on this board, hence the response that you got. I would want to know, and I think all parents would want to know. They can judge for themselves how much they care about the information, and if they want to do anything about it. |

Saying that to excuse every bad nanny out there really doesn't achieve what you're hoping it will. There are bad nannies out there, just like there are bad employees in any field. My coworker dozes off in half of our meetings - does that mean he's not a "real" employee? He must be a temp, right? Cuz only temps doze on the job? Well, payroll doesn't see it that way. Not in my field and not in yours. |
