On vacation - Temp nanny is fabulous

Currently on vacation but have been checking in with the kids/parents while I'm away. The nanny who is replacing me is really incredible, I'm so glad the kids are safe and happy. I've gone on vacation many times and have had nannies replace me (I've been with the boys 5 years) but this nanny is different and I'm feeling a little insecure. I have a great (professional, not 'friends') relationship with my bosses and of course I love all the boys very much. I'm having trouble enjoying my last day on vacation because I'm paranoid my family is going to replace me with Fab Nanny. Has anyone ever been replaced by the temp nanny? There aren't any of a I'm being replaced, I guess it's just me being insecure and looking for reassurrment. MBs, would you replace (or have you replaced) a long term nanny with the Fab Temp nanny?

I haven't. I probably wouldn't even consider it unless I was unhappy with the current nanny to begin with. I would keep her name in case something happened with you.

I actually have this fear...That if I fall ill and my family needs to hire a temp nanny, that they will realize just how greener the grass is per say.

But I tend to be insecure anyway.....Lol.

So I guess I am the last person who should be responding to this post. Sorry.

If you've been with them five years, as you say, it seems silly to think they would replace you on a whim.
