MB has no discretion RSS feed

At least a few times a week MB addresses me about important notes or chit-chat and is either half or fully nude. Now I am not shy or a prude but its to the point I want to say " damn, cover up already." I'm more used to conservative employers. I've seen moms breasted, both parents in robes, and by accident, a male employer fully nude. I know this is her home but its hard to talk about serious subjects when she is fully nude. I am at the point I want to tell her it makes me uncomfortable but I don't want to offend or insult her. I like them otherwise.

Can you just say "I'll come back when you are ready to talk"

"Lauren, I know this is your home and I don't want to offend you, but I have a hard time having serious conversations with you when we're not both fully dressed. Do you mind if I take off my pants? Just kidding!"

Hopefully she'll get the hint.

Honestly I don't see how you can tell her to get dressed w/out offending her on a personal basis. Because after all, it is HER home and anything you tell her to do in her home may cause her some offense.

Can you just suck it up or just jokingly say, "Uh...Mrs. Smith...Kate...Whatever...I'm not used to talking to half-dressed employers...Lol."

If she has any common sense, she will pick up the hint.

Otherwise, you're out of luck. Sorry.

This is so bizarre!

Are they European? Or very wealthy? I know Europeans are much more casual about nudity in their homes, even around guests, and rich people sometimes assume no one else's feeling really matter ...

I had an MB that did this. If it makes you uncomfortable, I might mention it in an email. I disagree with the idea that because its her home she can subject you to whatever she pleases. When you make your home a workplace, workplace decorum applies while you're there. She may be offended, or embarrassed, but really whose fault is that?

You've got issues if you think a mom breastfeeding is the same as seeing a male fully nude.

NP, but she never said it was the same. She gave examples of the exposure every nanny expects and deals with, and obviously what OP's MB is doing crosses even that line. I have no problem with nursing mothers. I have no problem seeing my employers in their robes/pjs. I wouldn't fault them for the occasional accidental exposure. I would have a problem carrying on a conversation with my naked employer on a regular basis.
