Nannies demanding too much

What is with all the nannies out there looking for $15-18+ per hour suddenly? What happened to all the reasonable nannies? I can't pay you half of my hourly salary to sit at home and watch TV while DD naps. If you want to be making $18 an hour you are in the wrong profession ladies.

We pay $14/hr and she is pretty good. You can still find them you just have to look. Lots of people have tried to become nannies recently. The funny thing is the new ones are trying for the high pay and the ones with 20 years of experience are still doing it for less. Good luck OP.

We pay $15 ph for one child, room for raises.
During the 2-3 hours of daily naps, the nanny does light cleaning, meal prep for child or us, talks on her phone or naps on the couch.

Having a nanny is a luxury. Thus, it's only for worthy people . Obviously you don't deserve it just stay home and take care of your children or send them to daycare . Period

agree with pp but in a nicer way, someone who is a full time nanny needs to earn a living wage and be able to pay rent. If you can not afford it that's okay look for a daycare center or an in home day care that offers drop offs.

You don't have to hire a nanny who demands 18 per hr. If you can afford 8 per hr then you state that. If you can only afford 2 per hr then you should stay home because that's not minimum wage and that's illegal.
