I get all federal holidays (paid) plus the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
I think standard is whichever fed holidays you get off from work, though even that can be negotiated (maybe you want the nanny to work on Veteran's and Columbus Days and have off extra time at Christmas instead). |

I give (paid):
New Year's Day Memorial Day July 4th Labor Day Thanksgiving Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Day after Christmas I generally have to work from home about half of those days and don't get off on President's Day or MLK Day. The nanny gets two weeks (ten days) of paid vacation per year - one week of her choosing, and one of ours. She earns a certain number of hours of vacation per each pay period throughout the year. So there's no taking a two-week vacation in the second month of employment. |
I think this is also what I give, though I do Xmas Eve rather than day after. I also give 12 days PTO, all her choosing. No additional sick leave (rolled into the PTO), but guaranteed hours (she's paid when we don't need her). I don't give Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, MLK Day since one or both of us will have to work, and I would rather give more than one day at Xmas and TG. |

| DH is federal, so we give all federal holidays if they fall on a day our (part time) nanny would usually be working. We wind up giving extra days around Thanksgiving and Christmas bc we travel but those days aren't written into our contract. |
| I think it just depends on when you have paid holidays off. For example, some people don't have Columbus Day off, so you would need your nanny to work, but if you do have Columbus Day off you should offer your nanny PTO. |
