| Yes, maybe just say "I know how difficult the commute can be, but sometimes I have plans after work so if you could let me know you're going to be late that would be great." Do you have an agreement on overtime? You should, but if not and you feel comfortable introducing the topic, you should mention that you think it would be fair for them to pay for extra time in 15 minute increments. |

And ask politely if either you can come in later tomorrow and the next few days. If they protest, then make sure your next paycheck reflects the extra time you stayed. If not, point it out. Let them know, you're no dummy. And don't let anyone try to hustle you just because you are a nanny. |
