| any downside? |
| Slight chance you may wind up with a more tolerant kid, but other than that, nope! |
| Only if you are homophobic. |

None.
Unless you are super religious and teach your children that everything in the Holy Bible is true. Because the Holy Bible does clearly condemn homosexuality as sin. But usually nannies do not teach religion or even integrate it into their job duties. So it shouldn't even be an issue. |
Oh dear. Really? |
Yikes....I wrote that and I hope it didn't come off as homophobic. I actually didn't mean it that way, I have a gay sibling by the way if that matters at all.
What I was meaning to say is that some people teach children from the Holy Bible in a literal sense so if a nanny was to do so, then yes, being gay would matter. Sort of like how Sunday School teachers teach their students. They teach by verses. Am I making sense? I think I better quit while I am ahead. Lol.

| I cannot imagine how your nanny's sexual orientation would affect her ability to care for your children. |
Not the person who quoted you, but I think that given the content of your full message you do not come across as homophobic - I understood (and agree with) what you were saying. Don't worry.
