I have a glass of wine when my kid goes to bed. I wouldn't mind if our au pair had a glass of wine when the kid is down for the night, either. That said, you could implement a strict "no alcohol while working - even if kids are sleeping" rule and then leave it alone because outside of that it is none of your business.

As far as going through my things and using my skincare products... gross. I would definitely be firm about that.
