I don’t have an issue with homeless people or people who drink alcohol *and don’t drive*. There are so many losers here in California smoking weed and taking edibles and driving. It’s a complete and total joke. Homeless people aren’t going to crash their car into me while impaired. I have N.A. issue with ANYONE who drinks nd uses drugs while driving. Clearly you’re a pot smoking loser so I guess you’re triggered. |
Sorry druggie my English isn’t perfect, I speak 5 languages and English is my 4th. How many do you speak? Anyone who uses drugs is a total loser and YOU are the one who shouldn’t be working with kids if you think it’s okay. Do these creative types and artists need to also drive after using their drugs? Or is that okay for their art? Give me a break. |
Nope, but, I’m also not ignorant and proud about it. I’ve literally seen the homeless run into the street, pee on the street, shoot up actual drugs in broad daylight, approach people begging for money and so many other questionable behavior. So whatever your issues with marijuana are seem to be deep rooted and honestly, delusional. Carry on with the issues you continue to demonstrate. You’re doing fabulous sweetie. |
The only person impressed with you is yourself. You can speak 100 languages but guess what, you are trying to write in English here. You want to be impressive, speak and write every language you claim properly. Instead you would rather sit here losing your sh*t over some issue you have imagined is dire. You clearly have no idea what real junkies and addicts look like. |
Hi, I'm not the poster you might be yelling at. I'm the one that wrote a nicely worded post and I did mention creative people. Of course I don't think anyone should drink or do drugs and drive. I'm surprised you are yelling at me when I was nice and just attempting to explain that there are lots of non losers and decent folk that smoke or use edibles. It's ok to to learn about things outside your bubble or experience. It sucks that every one where you live is driving around drunk and high- must make getting around difficult. I don't know anyone that does those things, and I don't know any losers. I know incredibly talented, kind people. I've found in my life that usually people that paint groups in a wide swath with names like loser, or addict, or whatever, haven't sat down and talked to those that might live very different lives, or are generally really unhappy. I will not call you names, nor call you on your writing- I don't know you, and I don't do that. I do realize we live very different lives. Trust me, if you met some of the artists I know, or my friend with cancer, or anyone I know that uses pot occasionally, you might be forced to rethink things. I'm also a huge proponent of medical marijuana. It saves lives. |
So you’re admitting that employers can control what employees do outside of work hours by conducting drug tests? Then I guess we have no disagreement. |
It would not be a deal breaker at all for me. It’s no different than having a glass of wine. As long as she isn’t under the influence at work, I’m fine with it. And I have never even tried marijuana. |
I think you need to do two things...look up the word control and learn to read. |
I don’t think anyone working with kids should have a positive drug test. Even if it legal with prescription in some states it is illegal with the federal law. |
Yeah, you don’t know the laws in other states much less federal laws. It is common knowledge at this point that marijuana is very much legal without a prescription in certain states. Please do some actual research before you post. I mean, you don’t even have a basic understanding of how to use google and knowledge of federal or state laws. Should a person like you really be working with kids? |
No proof. If her friend uses the oil, she chose to eat something that may have some in it. Or she smokes. Either way, it’s still illegal at a federal level. Some employers don’t care, others are sticklers. OP obviously falls more to the end of not wanting any drug use(r) anywhere near the children, and that is their prerogative. |
I don’t use tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, caffeine, any illegal drugs or narcotics for more than 2 days. I don’t use any pain or other addictive medication if I can absolutely avoid it. No, I don’t want to work in a house with anything that could hurt my charge. Guns and ammunition WILL be locked away in separate locations. Alcohol and all medications WILL be locked away and out of reach. Knives WILL be secured in a drawer with a child lock. Chemicals WILL be locked away. I am NOT going to responsible for my charging getting hurt or dying due to preventable negligence. I can’t control what my employers do when I’m not with them; I can tell them how strongly I feel about the above, and that I will quit on the spot if I find any of the above. It’s in my contract, and I’ve never had someone hire me who had an issue with it. |
The house (federal) passed MORE in November. Senate has not. Ergo, still illegal. Medical research with marijuana is still very difficult to get approved, due to status as an illegal drug. I’m quite aware of which states do and don’t allow it, and under what conditions. My tiny home town has FOUR businesses now dedicated to marijuana/cbd oil, while just about everything else is closing or has been gone for a while. Just because something is allowed at state level does NOT mean that it’s not still illegal at federal level. And pushing for legalization is not the same as it being legal now. |
Do her a favor, let her work for another family. |
Do you think Mary Poppins was that happy without something? |
