We did something like "being under the influence of alcohol while on duty" and "consumption of illicit drugs at any time" listed under "grounds for termination without notice". Of course this should be obvious, but the point is to spell out many of these "obvious" things so all parties start with a clear understanding of what's expected and can point to the agreement if they feel like something's not going as it should.
You couple this with sick days or other provisions so nanny doesn't have to come in on days when she may be on prescribed drugs that impair judgment due to an illness or recovery from surgery. |
