I totally think its the nannys responsibility to remember the kids stuff, I cant believe the people saying its the 2yo's.
Having said that I think you need to chalk this up as a loss and just buy new stuff our of your own pocket. I dont think its fair to ask the nanny when it wasnt something she did intentionally. I had a cleaning person break a crystal ornament a couple of years ago, it was expensive and part of a collection, but i told myself its not like she was playing football with it, she was just dusting it and it slipped, accidents happen. |
OP, unfortunately it's your responsibility to cover the cost of this. If your stroller breaks when she pushes it over a dip in the pavement, when your daughter's new dress gets a stain on it, if a glass or a plate gets dropped - all your responsibility. However, if it becomes a pattern that would be cause for a warning and a conversation about what she could do to better remember everything. |
