OP - Have you considered a temporary live in situation for a single mom with a young child? Maybe someone who already has day work but wouldn't mind being at home with your DC in the evenings/on Saturdays because she is already home with her own DC. My best friend owns an in-home day care now, but many years ago when she was a struggling single mom with a toddler, she was able to make it work in an arrangement similar to the one I'm suggesting.
