Notice for terminating a nanny RSS feed

We gave our nanny 6 weeks notice, she had been working for us for one year. She "quit" on voicemail one week prior to her last day and didn't show up. Hopefully she is an outlier but it doesn't really build my faith in giving alot of notice.

She has taken care of your child for two years and you want to give her two weeks notice. My, my, aren't you magnanimous to a fault.

If you'd read the thread instead of hurrying to be a jerk you'd have read that she's giving 6 weeks notice.

okay you ca pay her 2 weeks notice and have you paid her time and a half for after 40 hours? she can sue you for that, many law firms are working on that now, suing even after the employee has left so be careful how you do things
