You brought back a nearly ten year old post for this? Jesus, the child is in college now and the OP was murdered by her poor husband who couldn’t take her anymore. The nanny won the lottery and is living in Hawaii now.

I do think it was irresponsible of her to call in sick 10 minutes of her arrival time. I think if the kids like her , as stated above talk to her first. Also , nor being rude but when you say you pay to the exact penny , your getting what you ask for .I always round up and pay the whole hour. Also , why no paid sick time ?

I read "Where'd You Go Bernadette" recently and this totally sounds like satire with OP pretending to be the main character from that book. The original post is from 2012 shortly after the book was published too.
