Horrible family smh

I am so sick and tiered of parents posting about how bad the nannies are when parents can be just as inconsiderate or ungrateful. I understand that parents might be upset when a nanny tries to find another job, but at least the nanny hasn't left you in the lurch for child care. I came to work despite being sick and telling them I didn't feel well and they instead of just letting me know before hand made come in clean their house do their laundry all while sick only to fire me. I put up wit their children being snotty , abusive verbally and physically. Yes I was looking but they didn't want to pay me when they went on vacation there was a a week they decided to send the children to their grandmothers and made me work 11 hour days to cover the h ours they took off on Thursday and Friday. I guess good riddance but sheesh I feel burned had I known this I would have stayed home in bed with some dayquill

Sounds like there were plenty of terrible things that you chose to ignore. Don't be a martyr. learn from your mistakes.

I'm so sick and tired of nannies lumping all parents together (and I don't like it when parents do that about nannies either). There are bad nannies and there are bad parents. I'm sorry you had crappy employers but I'd be a lot more sympathetic if you didn't make this about ALL parents. How would you like it if someone posted about their bad nanny and said "I'm so sick and tired of nannies complaining about bad parents when nannies can be just as bad." Post about YOUR experience and stop generalizing.

Yikes, op. It sounds like you were an accomplice in your own destruction. Work toward being financially secure so you don't have to stay in a job like this in the future.
