| I have a gig on Weekends. She pays me 14.50 per hour. She always pays me cash past weeks she hasnt had any change so she gives me more than what im owed. This week she owed me $87 but only had $100 mind you she went out to run some errands earlier enough places to get some change right? So she asked me if i had change i didnt so she reluctantly handed me the money sighed and said well next time ill just give you $13 less. Wait! What? Why is it my fault that she doesnt have the exact amount of $ She knows what she has to pay because i go every week for the same amount of hours! So annoyed |
| Not a big deal. Why is it an issue if she deducts the extra next week? Why would you expect to keep the full $100 when she only owes you $87? |
Because shes done this 4 times already (with smaller amounts ) she knows by now but is too lazy or just doesnt care. Last time she asked for the change back from me! So i drove to local 7-11 split the 100 and brought HER back change! Shes inconsiderate |
| OK, I wouldn't have gone to get change. I would have told her I would wait while she went. |
maybe you should get a different job. are you seriously complaining about this? |
|
Here's a novel idea-
Get the change, keep it and give it back to her the next time. You shouldn't expect to be paid for almost an extra hour of work. It's not that hard OP. |
This. Don't get why it is such a big deal. I wouldn't have gone to get change before so I would have simply said "sorry I have somewhere to be but can you deduct out of my next pay?" You know she does this, so why not just anticipate this? You just sound really whiny and annoying. |
|
Ok so it's slightly aggravating but it's at least predictable. Keep some extra change w/ you since you know this scenario is likely. Or tell her you'll bring her the change next time. Or have her write you a check.
It doesn't seem like the end of the world for a decent hourly rate once a week under the table. |
| When my MB doesn't have exact change, she always deducts next week, it has never been an issue. |
|
It's not fair to keep the extra money no matter how many times she's done it. You have options though you can either carry change on you, have her deduct the extra amount from the next time or get a different job.
Sorry but you sound young, immature and an entitled little brat. Why do you feel it's fair that you get an extra $13? If she shorted you $13 that would be totally different and unfair to you |
| She's paying you some in advance. It's really a nothing thing but if you need to classify it as something it goes in the "good" column. |
| I've always found it to be incredibly tacky when an MB asks for change. If you don't want to pay me the rounded up amount, then you should have exact change on hand. This isn't anything I would make a huge deal out of, but it would make me less likely to sit for you in the future. |
| your an idiot, at least she didn't give you 70 and said I'll pay you 13 next time. |
I see neither grammar or math are your strong suits. OP's the idiot though...SMH |
| You shouldn't consider it a tip unless agreed upon. You are stealing. |
