Milk supply won't decrease!

After a year of worrying that my milk would start drying up, I find myself in the opposite situation now. DS turned 13 months old a few weeks ago, and I stopped pumping at work (by going down one session a week, from 3x a day to none). That was 3 weeks ago and I'm still getting super full breasts by 6 when I make it home. Sometimes I let DS nurse then, sometimes he waits until 7:3pm
0 or so. But either way, I'm really uncomfortably full. And there's so much milk, he can't drink it all, meaning I remain full until his next feed at midnight or so. I believe part of the problem here is that I nurse all night long because he cosleeps with us and nurses frequently. We plan to sleep train next week, so I hope this will eliminate at least part if this problem then. But, other than that, is there anything I can do? Is this unusual? |
