Hate the waiting game

I am currently in the interview process for a new position. My last job recently ended and I had a new family all lined up but the job fell through so I've had to start over. And man do I hate this waiting game. It's not so bad when I am working and interviewing - but this is all I'm doing now. I hate waiting to hear a families decision! And sometimes they take so long! Ugh, I just want to have a job lined up so I can relax. Thanks for letting me share.

I know the feeling, I interviewed with a family two weeks ago and have yet to hear anything. The agency said they haven't heard anything from the family either. So stressful!

OP here. Finally got an official job offer and accepted! And it was one of the jobs I actually really wanted, so I'm very happy! Just wanted to share my good news. Good luck to all still waiting to hear.

Congrats as well. Just heard good news as well, I got the job with two beautiful baby boys! My big girls will be heading to preschool and pretty sad to be leaving after two years. Starting over again smelling that baby smell again as well as lots of cuddles with the new babies.

I understand. What I hate is when I interview with a family. They've chosen someone else but never let me know they chose someone else. Even just a text would be considerate especially after they've said they'd let me know but never do. I appreciate families that let me know they've chosen someone else so I know to keep looking. I assume after a week of not hearing from a family that they aren't interested.
