What do you pay your nanny for 1 kid versus 2 kids for a full-time position?

Troll.

What do you want to pay her, OP?

OP here, I'm definitely not a troll. I'm curious what the market rates are for hiring a nanny in this area. BTW, I'm a nanny trying to figure out if I'm getting paid fairly.

Then please read the "Please don't ask what the going rate......" thread, and do a search.

Most likely you aren't being fairly paid.
What is your background,
what are they paying you,
and what's the work you're doing?

Okay, thanks! I didn't know asking this question would be problematic.

Should be at least $20/hr. At least. If you start looking, you'll probably find 25.

MB here - I think that that is fair. or at least what I would offer for the same work.

Nice to see an actual answer, without attitude - just the information requested, from 13:53! In that spirit I'll provide another, and then ignore the guaranteed flaming that will ensue.

I'm an employer in MoCo just over the district line and we have twin toddlers.

Our nanny is highly experienced, legal, without a college degree, english and spanish speaking (fluent in both), CPR/infant certified, drives the kids, does kid related housework, and works a 50 hr week.

Her weekly salary is $750 (at her requested averaged rate, which puts base at just under $14 and OT at $21). She also receives full payment of her health insurance premiums each month, 3 wks vacation/sick leave, 10 paid holidays, usually about another week in paid vacation when we're away, and an annual bonus.

How's that, when the broken-English illegals are paid the same thing? This one has a college degree, for God's sake.

+1. At least for one child. For two children, I would consider $16-18/hr.

As long as it's a warm body, that's all some parents want.
