Why or why not?
How often? |
|
No, of course not! Because she is a lovely woman who does not look or act as if she has ever taken drugs!!!
Seriously OP, what is wrong with you?! |
| It isn't unheard of to test for weed. |
| As long as nanny is not under the influence at work, it doesn't matter. |
| You're nutso. |
| Get a life! |
| Did your nanny drug test you? Why or why not? How often? |
| I've never been drug tested. I'm a career nanny. My bosses know I don't smoke or drink. I can't imagine they would ever think I would use drugs. I don't even drink coffee or soda. |
| Please stop feeding the troll. |

Op here. I was on care.com and various families said they would conduct a background check and drug test.
|
| OP, I said that we reserved the right to do a credit check, background check and drug testing. Our purpose in doing that was so that people who wouldn't pass those wouldn't even bother applying. We DID do a criminal background and credit check and I did ask our final three contenders if they would pass a drug test if they took one that day. |
You are god damn insane. |
I like you guys. You sound like you could be my bosses.
Trust is the foundation for all good relationships. |
A credit check is none of your damn business. |
| The majority of drugs can be out of your system in less then a week (some a few hours) with the exception of THC (weed) which can last up to 8 weeks. So unless you are doing random drug tests throughout employment I highly doubt you could effectively catch someone who is a Recreational user. Frequent users and addicts will often show visual signs of drug use and display certain behaviors, some as subtle as being "sick often". I'd be more concerned with "heavy" drugs that are normally out of the system in a few days then the use of weed outside the workplace. So basically, effectively weeding out the druggies would be time consuming with all the random drug testing, unless they were addicts or displayed many characteristics of drug use. And most users now the amount of time it takes for their drug of choice to leave the system and can clear it out before a scheduled test. |
