My father is visiting for the next two weeks and I asked our nanny if her could use her vehicle some days to get around town because he flew in and doesn't have a vehicle. She told me "Absolutely not." We would do anything for her and I am appalled that she reused to help us.
Let your dad rent a car or use yours. You can't be serious to expect her to let your dad use her car... wow. I wouldn't let a stranger use my car either.
What an absurd post. You can't be serious. You, MB, are a joke and I hope your nanny moves on!
It's the troll.
Troll.
I'm not a troll but MBs cousin asked if he could borrow my car, and I said NO. He was upset but whatever!! Rent a car for him, loser MB.
Fire her and find a nanny that understand her role better.
You have to understand where she is coming from right? She is worried about liability if he gets in an accident. What if he dies, he kills others , he drives the car into a gas station and the whole place explodes. Is she liable? There goes her car at least for a few days. What if it gets scratches or he pops a tire will he pay or is she on the hook for it. I could go on and on. Letting a stranger or even a friend use your vehicle is a very bad idea. Rental cars exist for a reason.
I wouldn't even let my DB use my car when they asked one time. I'm just not comfortable letting someone else use the most expensive thing I own when I don't even know how they drive. If something happened to it, I'd be screwed. Also, your nanny would be on the hook if he got a parking ticket, red light ticket, dui etc. That's not a risk of be willing to take either. And let's face it, old people aren't the best drivers. Their reflexes are slowing and on top of it he's driving in am unfamiliar area. I agree she was rude in how she said no, but the fact she said no isn't rude in and of itself.
You should apologize for even asking.
You were out of line to even ask.
Why would you even ask this?
Is this your car that your nanny uses or are you asking her to let your father drive her own personal car around??
OP already said it's Nanny's car. |
My work vehicle that my MB owns is referred to as "my" car even though technically its theirs, which is why I wanted clarification from the OP.
