What is an adequate rate for a nanny in a major northeast city for three children under three in a two family share or
for a single family with one child? What is an appropriate benefit package to offer?
About the nanny:
Late 20s
8 years full time nanny experience, including share experience
Multiple certifications including ECE and CNA
Senior in college for BA
Ability to drive, owns vehicle
Primary language is English but is able to speak conversational Spanish
Experience with special needs children

Nanny has excellent references, does child related volunteer work and maintains a pt job in early intervention

Is this full or part time? Sorry a little confused given the fact nanny is in school and also has another part time job

Full time 40-45 hours. She attends online and night classes, works one weekend day at her other job. Volunteers two hours outside of work a week

That's a very busy nanny. I'd be worried about burnout.

$23/hr at least starting I'd think? Not including benefits.

I'm assuming this is Boston? NYC has lower rates generally.

No, NYC generally has the highest rates. Also, certain exclusive parts of CA. Maybe next Boston, and soon the DC area? Some nannies are certainly paving the way. Thank you, $35/hr, nanny.
