If I clean the bathroom that I have to use?

It is really gross and smells like mold. There is a build up of hair and crud on the floor. I am not supposed to clean and mb was annoyed before when I washed dishes. I really want to wash the gross rug and mob the floor with bleach.
Would you be offended?

Why don't you just quit?

God, only nannies have this absurd idea that they can annoy their bosses to no end and not suffer any repercussions. If you nannies had this attitude in any other job you would be fired immediately.

I hate working in houses that are grimey. I accept that that is my baggage and not their problem. I always ask to use the bathroom before I leave so I have a chance to see what's up.

If anyone should be annoyed, it's OP. It is common decency to provide a sanitary environment for an employee (or really ANYONE who is going to use your bathroom). OP, I would just do it because I can't stand when things are filthy. It may turn into some major job creep but if your choice is work in a sty, clean it yourself, or be out of a job...I know what I would choose.

Is there only one bathroom in the house? If not, I don't subscribe to the idea that I can only use one bathroom in the house. This isn't the 1950's.

Are there other bathrooms in the house that are cleaner? I'd probably use a different bathroom before I'd start cleaning.

Our house only has one. It is a 1950's house. But, I would not be ok if I had a master bedroom or other private areas that someone else was using.
