Ending Breedlove/Payroll Service Mid-Year

Our last day employing a nanny will be 8/15, at which point we will not longer have any household employees. We use Breedlove to handle the payroll, and I'd love to cancel this service as soon as we give our nanny the final pay check. Breedlove is great, I just don't want to pay the relatively high costs for something I no longer need.

Has anyone done this? If so, how did you handle the close out of taxes, etc? I think I can figure out the estimated taxes piece, but I'm not sure how to handle the end of year W-2 and everything else.

Hope this makes sense to someone that's been in a similar situation.....cause I'd really like to stop paying for Breedlove next month

I should add that I'm in Virginia if that makes a difference.

Why don't you ask Breedlove? I'm sure they deal with this situation all the time.

Good idea, I just thought it was in their best interest to tell me that I needed to stay on through the end of the year.

My employers used Breedlove for my pay before I left. They took several months off without a nanny before employing someone new. I'm almost certain they closed the Breedlove account after my last day (5/31) but I still received my w2 from Breedlove.
