| Considering I already make $35 an hour working for families in NW DC some of us are already there. |
| That article is about baby sitters, not nannies. |
|
The article mentions a 19 year old who gets paid $33/hr.
Let's all go to NYC where you can easily double your wages. |
But considering many nannies here supplement their income by babysitting, this can be of use. |
Not to mention the fact that there's little, if any agreement on what the real difference is... |
| You realize the cost of living in NYC is higher too, right? |
| You realize this article is about how RIDICULOUS babysitters have become in NYC right? |
If people are paying it it's not ridiculous. |
People will not be paying it on the regular in the DMV. But go ahead and advertise $35/hr as your babysitting rate. Maybe I'm wrong. |
|
It's a pretty silly article about a few sitters who make above market rates.
The article states the average rate in NYC is just over $15/hr, which is similar to the average rate in DC. So, no real news here...unless you consider lazy parents willing to pay inflated rates because they don't know what they are doing in terms of hiring news. I don't. Yawn. |

Who doesn't love a SMART nanny?
A) A nasty MB who can't afford her. AND B) A nanny who's too dumb to learn from her. That's all. |
This is hilariously obtuse. I don't know what you're ranting about but thanks for the chuckle. |
Um, let me guess... You are exhibit "A." Thank you. |
| Let's charge the same rent and cost of living as NYC too. |
