Mother's Helper in Fairfax - rate?

What is the going rate to pay a 5th or 6th grader as a Mother's Helper? The helper would be supervising a 5 year old.

I couldn't imagine hiring a 5th grader to help watch a 5 year old....

I'd guess $5-6 per hour, rounding up as needed.
