Happy Mother's Day.

Although I hope it's from the kids and not you. It's weird to give random people who happen to be mothers a card celebrating their motherhood.

It would be from me, the kids have made theirs already.
You really think it's strange? I send cards to my family/ friends on Mother's Day.. Maybe I'm the odd one out for giving cards?

I made cookies with my charges for Mother's Day. I am not a mother, so I don't expect anything from my MB, nor would I if I had kids.

Yes, that's weird.

Oh my gosh.... ITS NOT WIERD!!! If you were buying her jewelry or a spa package... Yes... That's overboard. In sure she wouldn't be spooked by a card. Keep it simple. Write happy Mother's Day! You deserve to be spoiled!

Everyone has a different relationship with her MB! I'm so sick of everyone thinking anything beyond a empoyer relationship is weird or abnormal.

It's not weird at all. I would love to get a card from our nanny! Go for it, OP!

It's not about a nanny's relationship with their MB - it's about anyone but the children or spouse giving any mother anything for mother's day! I have never, not would I ever think to give anyone by my mother and grandmother a Mother's Day card! Should I give cards to all of my friends and family members who are mothers? Do you see many printed Mother's Day cards that read, "To Mother from your child's nanny"?!!!!

I agree - it's weird. Your employer, your friends and anyone in your family aside from YOUR mother is not your mother! (Possible exception for grandmothers). Mother's Day celebrated the relationships of motherhood!

childish, or possibly too time consuming/personal. I don't think it's weird that you at want to give her a card or a small treat. If I liked my mb I may have done something for her.
