| I'd like to hire a college or graduate student to care for my kids next year after school three days a week. It would be for about 9 hours a week - 3-6 pm. Idealliy s/he would also be available for occasional evening babysitting. If you have a simlar situation, how did you find the person? When should I start looking if I want someone to start in September? I'd welcome any other thoughts or suggestions. |
| I nannied throughout college (graduated last year). I got all my jobs on either care.com or sittercity. I would typically start looking for a job a week or two before I was headed back to school, as most families didn't want to wait longer than that to interview me in person when I was back in town. So I'd say if you start in early August you should be good, any earlier than that and most college kids are still focused on enjoying their summer. |
| We found ours on care.com. Now is the time to look. You could post a flyer in the student union? |
Not now, since kids are heading home for summer break. I would say early August. |
