I plan to offer a month's severance upon letting my nanny go, and will add one month's health insurance premium payment to that as well. I'm wondering, though, if you ever offer to pay beyond the severance time period? Especially if they don't find another job during that time period? |
How long was she with you? |
Just under four years. |
It depends on how close you were with her and how nice you feel like being as well as what you can afford to pay out.
If she went above and beyond as a great nanny for your family and was just an exceptional caregiver and left on excellent terms and you can afford it, you can add another month just for good faith. Ultimately it's all up to you. |
