I am working from home today and I can hear my wonderful nanny excitedly singing (in Spanish) with my 2.5 year old upstairs. My infant is giggling. My heart is so happy that there is a woman in my life with such infinite patience and joy to help me raise my children. I didn't know how I'd feel about having a nanny 2.5 years ago, and I had so many fears, but every single day that she is here I know my kids will be better people for having her in their lives. She works so hard and seems to love my kids the way a family member would. Every single thing she does comes from a place of love and makes me see that she wants the very best for my kids at every turn, just like I do. She also works to make my life less stressful in so many ways that I can't even list them here. I am honored to have her "work" for me and admire her so much.
I know I should say these things to her and someday I will (I have to a degree, but probably not so fully or eloquently), but for now, I just wanted to share this with anyone who might care! |

From the bottom of my heart, my most sincere gratitude for sharing with us how your nanny has both enhanced your children's development, and your parenting experience.
You are the parent every nanny hopes to find. Thank you. |
| You sound a gem of an employer. You are describing a great nanny and I hope it works out for all of you for many years. |
| You sound like a nanny. |
+1 |
This is unfortunate envy. Such a shame that they can't be happy for OP. |

| Thank you for writing that post. |
OP, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful child with me. There are no words to express how grateful I am for two things. The first is that you trust me with the most important person in your life. The second is the joy that person brings to my life. I guess we've got a win-win situation on our hands here.

| Tell her, not us. |
She sounds awesome! Write her a card this weekend and tell her!

Tell her, Tell her!!!
A nice bonus or raise speaks volumes too...Or even a nice gift card. A good nanny is worth her weight in gold OP. Lucky you. |
You sound like a gem of an employer and I'm sure your nanny feels like a valued caregiver. If you want to express your gratitude the way you did here I highly suggest a card with a personal note

| OP here - I am definitely not a nanny. But you have all inspired me to write her a note this weekend. It's so hard to thank someone who is your life support and "family member" who doesn't "have" to love your kids the way you do, but does. |
