| Our nanny's birthday is April 24th and we would like to get her something. We have been very happy with her and both my girls love her. I know 3 months is a short time but feel we should acknowledge her birthday - she works on that day. This is out first nanny and most of our friends are using daycare. |
| I would say a $20-30 gift card and a card from the kids would be great. Extra bonus points for giving her flowers too. If you really like her and want to keep her happy, a little goes a long way. |

My first thought is that something around $25 might be appropriate.
But, how much do you pay her per hour? If you're paying her $20/hr and relatively well-off, $25 might seem a little cheap. Anything would be nice but maybe whatever you'd pay her for at least 2 hours or 1/2 a day could be another way to look at it. Gift cards and flowers are always nice. |
I agree. And a special effort from your kids (depending on their ages) in the way of homemade cards or drawings (my most cherished gifts!). |

I say forgo the flowers.
Gift card would be nice. Instead of the flowers go for a cupcake instead. Most nannies wouldn't want flowers. |
| I'd just give a card (signed by the kids as well as the parents) with like a $15 giftcard to Starbucks. |
