Please can you tell me what the your hourly pay is, or what you think is the average hourly pay in NYC is? I am looking for a new position and I have no idea what to ask for. I just moved from DC where I was earning $25 an hour for three young kids, working for 6 years.
I am an American Citizen. Speak French fluently. Have a BA Degree. CPR & First Aid Certified. I have 12 Years FT Experience. Can drive & swim. I'm athletic. Excellent references. Waldorf Certified. Do you know of any great NY agencies? I'm looking for 40-60hrs a week, live-out. |

I don't currently live in NYC (I'm in RI) but I am looking for a full-time, live-in position in NYC starting in June when my current position will be ending. I am working with a couple of agencies and from what I have been told/seen from job postings is that $20/hr+ will be the norm for your experience IF you work with an agency. I have 8 years of full-time experience, don't have a BA (I have an associates) and I only speak English and I will be interviewing for a couple of positions coming up that are high end positions and pay. One if $65k/year, another is $80k/year and the third one is $25/hr with over time.
Some agencies to look into are: The Wellington Agency, Greenhouse Staffing and British American Household Staffing. Good luck! |
| I've been able to earn a higher hourly rate without agencies, so never limit yourself. |

Does anyone know if there is a group like this that is for New York City?
