Best site for a background check

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find a past thread. What is the best site (or firm) to do a background check? We're considering a nanny who came to us through a personal referral, so she's not registered with sites such as care.com.
If there are good threads on this, I would appreciate pointers to them. TIA! |

Trustline in CA is good, but it is over a hundred dollars which is expensive, but not so much when you consider what your child is worth.
Or livescan fingerprinting. |
