Traveling with babysitter

I don't even know where to begin to figure out what we pay a babysitter to join us on a trip. Our nanny cannot join us for various reasons unfortunately, so we are asking a babysitter that we use often. I will be traveling with my husband for a work trip for 5 days with our two young kids. I would be expected to go to events with him in the evening and would need some help during the day at the pool with the kids. Of course we would cover travel expenses(flight, hotel room) but otherwise how does it work best. Do you do a per diem, daily pay, pay by babysitting event, some combination, or something I am not even considering. Please help!!!!

Pay her per day plus all her meals, anything she does outside of hotel and for fun is out of her own wallet. Also I would give her a private room if possible, otherwise it's like she is working 24/7 and has no privacy.

Other key is to set hours. That way, it's totally clear when she is on and when she is off. The per diem also them acts like "guaranteed pay" and she can truly assess if it's enough.
