Wokers Compensation Policy

We are a first time family hiring a nanny and just obtained a workers compensation policy from our homeowners insurance agent. She initially quoted a rate of $500 per year, but after talking with her underwriters, now is quoting $1100 annually. She said the cost for household employees workers compensation has increased in Montgomery County, Maryland in recent years. Is this market value for others paying insurance in Maryland?

I am paying around $800/yr through the Maryland state insurance group. It is based on what you pay the nanny, though, so it may vary.
